Objective of the Mental Health Volunteer Project for Old Age Homes
The objective of this Mental Health Volunteer Project is to support the emotional, psychological, and social well-being of elderly residents in old age homes. Through guided conversations, cognitive activities, stress-relief practices, and compassionate companionship, we aim to reduce loneliness, improve mental alertness, enhance emotional resilience, and promote a positive outlook among seniors.
Location & Time
📍 Location: Delhi
⏰ Time: Flexible as per volunteer’s availability
Minimum / Maximum Time Commitment
2 hours per week

A Letter of Recommendation (LOR) will be provided based on performance

Responsibilities
- As a Mental Health Volunteer, your primary role is to offer emotional support, companionship, and mental stimulation to elderly residents. You will:
- Facilitate light mental health activities such as guided conversations, memory games, storytelling, mindfulness, and relaxation practices.
- Provide active listening, empathy, and a friendly presence that helps seniors feel valued and understood.
- Create a safe, calm, and non-judgmental environment that encourages seniors to express themselves freely.
- Support their mental wellness by encouraging positive thinking and helping them feel emotionally connected.
